Terms of service.

Liability:

While under the instruction of Jarrod Castrejon with JC Baseball Academy during a lesson, camp, clinic or any other baseball or softball training activity, you are in the area of our business operation and you give up all rights to any legal recourse or monetary compensation against Jarrod Castrejon, Steve Diamond, any other supporting staff/coaches, or JC Baseball Academy due to injury or death suffered while in our care by any of our equipment, by any of you or your child’s equipment, by the grounds/environment, acts of God, or our training staff. Baseball can be a very dangerous sport, during which there is always risk of injury. We take you and your child’s safety very seriously. Jarrod Castrejon and any other JC Baseball Academy training staff are committed to maintaining the best possible levels of safety in order to minimize risk to you and your child.

Scheduling:

Scheduling and confirming lessons, camps and clinics is done on the JC Baseball Academy website. Texting or calling a JC Baseball Academy training staff member does not ensure confirmation of your child’s lesson. Available lessons will be posted online as soon as possible each month. If you would like consistent lessons for your child, we recommend booking as far in advance as possible. If a member of the JC Baseball Academy training staff needs to cancel a lesson, you will be credited the amount for the lesson, which will be applied to your account.

*All lessons are booked on a first-come-first-serve basis*

Cancellations:

JC Baseball Academy has a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel any lesson prior to 24 hours before your lesson start time, a full refund will be provided to you. If you cancel any lesson within 24 hours of your lesson start time, you will NOT receive a refund. Clinics and camps are subject to their own cancellation policies; see flyer for specific details. JC Baseball Academy reserves the right to cancel your athlete's lesson at any time for weather, medical, or personal reasons. If this should occur, your coach will reach out to you and a credit to your account will be applied toward your next scheduled lesson.

Lesson Details:

All lessons are held at a state of the art facility in Ramona, CA. Coach Jarrod will bring his love of the game, time, energy and years of experience playing and coaching to each private lesson. Your child will need to bring their own gear, water, towel, and sunscreen if needed.

During your child’s first lesson, Coach Jarrod will introduce a warm-up routine that should be followed at home, before games and before each lesson. Please plan on arriving 10-15 minutes early to each lesson in order to warm-up at the facility. Plyo balls, bands, walls and turf can be utilized before your child’s lesson. This will ensure that your child can use each minute of the lesson on instruction, maintenance and any cool down routine Coach Jarrod sees fit. Lessons are generally booked back-to-back. If you are late to your child’s lesson, that time will not be made up. Please arrive on time.

Bathroom Use:

The facility does not currently have a public restroom. Please have your child use the restroom before arriving to their scheduled lesson.

Parents/Guardians and other Guests:

To ensure that your child gets the most out of their time with Coach Jarrod, we follow a “closed lesson” philosophy. You are more than welcome to watch and observe from the chairs provided at the top of the facility’s hill. Children can be easily distracted as they listen to your messages and watch for your reactions. Friends and family are more than welcome to observe from the chairs as well. We ask that all pets be left at home.

Weather Concerns:

Our facility is located 100% outside. We monitor the weather on a regular basis to ensure your child’s safety. If weather is causing unsafe conditions (ie: rain, extreme wind, high heat index), we reserve the right to cancel your child’s lesson to ensure the safety of all players and coaches. Coach Jarrod will reach out to you and you will receive a credit on your account for the amount already paid. The decision to cancel due to weather may be made the day of or 1-2 days prior.

Photos & Videos:

We often utilize photos and videos to help your child review and analyze their form. We may also use photos or videos for marketing purposes. If you have concerns about this, please email Coach Jarrod directly at jarrod@jcbaseballacademy.com and we will maintain your child’s privacy.
